Principal Message
At the very outset, I, the principal of Dudhnoi College, on behalf of the whole college fraternity, extend my warm welcome to all of you to Dudhnoi College. Since its inception in the year 1972, the college is trying its best to fulfill the desire and aspiration of the people who selflessly established this institution four decades ago. With a modest beginning of only five subjects in Arts stream, in its long course of existence the college has expanded its dimension and presently it has seventeen undergraduate departments in both Arts and Science streams, along with Higher Secondary Course in both the streams. Besides these, the college is also trying its best to provide higher education to the needy ones through distance learning programme with the help of Institute for Distance and Open Learning (IDOL) and Krishna Kanta Handique Open University (KKHOU). The campus of the college is located at the Head quater of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council on the Southern Bank of the river Brahmaputra, within Tribal Sub Plan Area (TSP) under the Dudhnoi (ST)Legislative Assembly Constituency, in the district of Goalpara. It has a sprawling scenic and serene campus area of 27.45 acres with an inspiring, peaceful and congenial environment. The college is well equipped with academic infrastructure such as well-equipped classrooms (with LCD facilities), laboratories, computerized libraries, internet facilities in the departments. The 24 hours electricity supply in the college campus is met through solar energy. Besides these, the college has well-build sports infrastructures such as football field with pavilion, modern state of art Indoor stadium, Swimming pool, etc. Hostel facilities for both boys and girls are within the four walls of the college boundary. In this long four decades of existence, the college has strived hard not only to provide quality education, but also to bring social, economic and moral up-liftmen of the society. Despite our best effort we may not have achieved our mission as desired, but we are determined and committed to do so. Once again, I welcome you to this college. Dr Gopal Phukon Principal
